The Grand Opening of the Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater will take place on Friday evening, April 5, 2013, starting at 6:30 PM. We are pleased to present an all-ages performance by the Panama City POPS Orchestra to christen the state-of-the-art amphitheater, and the evening will be capped off with a spectacular display of fireworks.
6:30 PM – The evening kicks off with the official ribbon cutting. (Panama City Beach Mayor Gayle Oberst and Bay County Commissioner Mike Thomas will preside over the occasion.)
Next, the stage is set for a performance by the Panama City POPS Orchestra. The concert will feature fun, lively, family-oriented music, including selections from classics and current hits like: Les Miserables, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
The concert is free and open to the public – Visitors and locals are encouraged to enjoy this family-friendly event, and there will be a few surprises in store to help ensure this will be a fun and memorable evening for everyone!
