The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA) are co-owning and hosting the 2013 Panama City Beach Seafood and Music Festival. The festival will celebrate seafood, fishing, culinary arts, music, entertainment, arts and culture in Panama City Beach. Entertainment includes:

UNwineD, a premier wine, craft beer, and gourmet coastal fare experience, at Aaron Bessant Park from 5:00-8:00. PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to stroll through Aaron Bessant Park and savor the flavors of fine craft beer, award-winning wine, and cuisine prepared by locally celebrated chefs. Every guest will receive a complimentary UNwineD wine glass or beer stein. Live musical entertainment will enhance the elegant atmosphere of the evening.

West Coast/East Coast Florida Pro Redfish Championship

This tournament series is a nonprofit organization promoting the sport of inshore saltwater Redfish fishing within the state of Florida.
Each tournament is artificial only catch and release. The series includes four divisional tournaments throughout the year and will close with a state championship.

It is a true 100% Payback series. FPRS is run by volunteers and tournament anglers.

October 04 – November 3, 2013

Each weekend beginning at 5 a.m. Friday morning through Sunday at 5 p.m. anglers can compete in the challenge which includes 4 species: King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder & Pompano.

A winner at each pier will be awarded in each fish category every weekend. A total of $1,200 in prizes will be awarded each weekend. A $250 prize will be awarded to the overall winner who catches
the heaviest fish between the two piers in each of the four categories during the 2013 Fishing Challenge. Winners of the Children’s Division who catch the largest fish each weekend will receive a $50 prize. Children’s Division is open to kids 12 years of age and under. Children must hook the fish and actively participate in reeling in the fish. Children’s winner will be the heaviest overall fish between all categories.

Weigh-ins will take place at each pier with the weekend winners announced on Sunday at 5 p.m. No tournament entry fee, but must pay pier fishing fee.
